Club Outreach
The Tulip City Gem and Mineral Club has a junior club that aims to enhance the education of children and young adults. During each general club meeting, the Jr. Club Coordinator presents and teaches an interesting geology topic to engage children in learning about Geology, Paleontology, Mineralogy, and more. The children also get to take home samples and become excited about rocks, gems, and minerals.
The club has been involved in numerous community projects, including library mineralogical display cases, park geology specimens, donations, and more.
The club makes significant efforts to contribute to the development of its community. Additionally, the club gives out an annual scholarship to several college students every year to promote higher education in geology.
